上面的英文有沒有什麼問題呢？

我們先來看看rich和abundant的區別。

A is rich in B

常指A富含B，比如：Most insect species are rich in proteins。

我們可以搜尋“species are rich in”驗證一下，發現rich in的右側多是物質。

A is abundant in B

常指在B（地方）A很豐富，比如：Insect species are abundant in this area。

我們可以搜尋“species are abundant in”驗證一下，發現abundant in的右側多是地區。

我們也可以再搜尋“abundant in proteins”，看看abundant in是不是也可以像rich in那樣表達“富含（蛋白質）”的意思。

結果很多，但大多並不是表示“富含蛋白質”的意思，而是表示在蛋白質裡很豐富的意思，和“Insect species are abundant in this area”的情況類似。

總之，雖然rich和abundant都可以表達豐富的意思，但是rich的主語或修飾物件一般是

擁有者

，而abundant的主語或修飾物件是

被擁有者

，比如：The

rich

person has

abundant

assets

。

因此，“這個地區蚊蟲種類豐富”可以表達成：

Mosquito

species are abundant

in this area。

或者

This

area is rich

in mosquito species。
