譯文：沒有人是自成一體、與世隔絕的孤島，

每一個人都是廣袤大陸的一部份。

如果海浪衝掉了一塊岩石，

歐洲就減少。

如同一個海岬失掉一角，

如同你的朋友或者你自己的領地失掉一塊。

每個人的死亡都是我的哀傷，

因為我是人類的一員。
