such和so兩者都可以表示“這樣”，“如此”的意思。但又有區別，區別如下：

so是副詞，用來修飾形容詞或副詞。

例如：

I am so glad to hear from my friend。

收到我朋友的信我真高興。

He writes so well。

他寫得這麼好。

2。

such是形容詞，用來修飾名詞（名詞前面可以帶形容詞，也可以不帶）。如果修飾單數可數名詞，其後需加不定冠詞a或an。

例如：

He told us such a funny story。

他給我們講了一個這麼有趣的故事。

You are interested in such things。

你對這種事感興趣。

3。

注意：

當單數可數名詞前面有形容詞修飾時，也可以用so，但要改變冠詞的位置。

例如：

He told us so funny a story。

4。

巧記so和such的用法：

名前such，形，副so，多多少少也用so。

little屬特殊，“小”用such，“少”用so。

說明：1。當名詞前有many， much， few和little等詞修飾時，要用so而不用such。如：

I have had so many falls that I‘m black and blue all over。

我摔了很多跤，以致全身青一塊紫一塊的。

There is so little time that we can’t finish work on time。

只有這麼少的時間，我們無法按時完成工作。

2。當little作“小的”講，修飾名詞時，其前面仍須用such，而不用so。

如：

They are such little children that they can‘t do anything。

這些孩子太小了，無法做任何事情
